JANUARY
Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month

January is the perfect time to learn to ski or ride. We have great incentives running all month long to help with the transition from pavement to snow! Bring a friend and you'll both save!

JANUARY
National Safety Awareness Month

Safety Week was such a great idea, they decided to turn it into Safety Month! Skiers and Riders are encouraged to learn about all aspects of mountain safety. We have great contests and incentives to make sure our skiers and riders know their responsibility code, respect their own safety, and respect the safety of others as they're shredding the slopes! SATURDAY-SUNDAY, JANUARY 24 & 25
WMRT Races

Support the Wachusett Mountain Race Team as they test their skills against other competitive skiers. GS-U16 on Saturday and the Michael Higgins U10-14 on Sunday.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 25
USASA Slopestyle Competition

This qualifying event hosted by USASA is part of the "Massachusetts Series". Competitors have a chance to give their best “slopestyle” performance to potentially compete in the nationals! Come watch  our local talented snowboarders and freeskiers throw down! DETAILS

Orson Olympics

Riding on Insulin

Riding On Insulin is a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower, activate and connect the global diabetes community through shared experience and action sports. The organization offers 1-day ski and snowboard programs in 15 locations throughout the United States, and also in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8
RI Annual Ski Runners 63rd Annual Ski & Board Event

This is Rhode Island's annual race, one of the oldest in New England. Now open to all those living in New England, it is a race for all ages and all abilities. Trophies are awarded in various age groups as well as to the fastest RI man and woman. Sign up online and get a low bib number at www.riskirunners.com!

USASA Slopestyle Competition

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15
2-5pm Coppertop: Six String Soldiers

Part of The United States Army Field Band, Six String Soldiers is a four-member acoustic group performing Americana, folk, bluegrass, and Irish music in an informal setting. The group brings its signature style to the smallest, most intimate venues, the busiest public places, street festivals, and music festivals across the United States. With its focus on audience interaction and sharing its members’ stories and experiences as American Soldiers, Six String Soldiers offers one of the most personal musical experiences found in the United States Army.

Valentine's Day Celebration

Science on the Slopes

Join the New England Aquarium as they bring their "tidepool program" to the slopes to educate people about aquatic life, especially during the colder winter months!

Join Kiss 108 Radio for a fun day of slopeside music and giveaways along with fun games, contests and freebies in the Coppertop in the afternoon!

Science on the Slopes

Join MA Audubon to learn about what keeps native plants and animals alive in winter conditions. There will be hands-on activities as well.

February Vacation Week

School's out and the kids are eager to have some fun. Sign them up for Vacation Club and they'll have fun while you relax! Enjoy family-friendly activities all week long including entertainment, music, and our famous Polar Balloon Races!

MIAA Alpine State Championship
 

Watch as the top high school athletes from across the state compete in Slalom and Giant Slalom races in this Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Assosication 2015 event!

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Ralph Crowley Classic

Join this open-to-all race which takes place on the challenging Smith Walton Trail. You don't need to be a Night League Racer to participate!

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28
Race League Great Race

The top 30 placing teams from the Night Race League will compete for top honors as they take on the challenging Smith Walton course in the Wachusett Great Race!

 

SUNDAY, MARCH 1
Race League Good Race & Decent Race

The 31-60 placed teams will compete on Lower Smith in the Good Race and the remainig Night League teams (61 and up) will compete on an extended Challenger Course in the Decent Race!

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21
Technine Open

Slopestyle-style Contest run along the full length (ride side) of the Terrain Park. Best of two runs with the top 10 advancing to 1-run final! Amateur and Pro divisions, cool swag, great prizes music and live MC.

YOU, Inc. Skifest

Wachusett is once again hosting the YOU, Inc. skifest fundraiser! This annual event supports YOU, Inc. in their efforts to provide every child and their family with exceptional services to help put a bright and productive future within reach.

Mass Senior Games

Special Olympics Winter Games

Join more than 100 Special Olympics athletes from across the state as they compete in a variety of races throughout the weekend in the 2015 Winter Games. Details

K2 Women's Demo Day

Join other women skiers & snowboarders for the turns, the talk and the sunshine! Enjoy a continental breakfast, take runs down a NASTAR course or shred in the Terrain Park, all while testing out the newest demo models from K2!!

WXLO's "Dig for Cash"

Join WXLO for their annual "Dig for Cash" at Wachusett Mountain from 4-10pm! We're giving people a shot to win their share of $5,000 in cash! Visit any Bay State Savings Bank and make a $25 donation, and you'll receive a lift ticket for the day of the event!

Northeast Meltdown

The final event of the Terrain Park Season! There are both Amateur and Pro Categories with a cash purse for pros and great prizes for Amateurs!

Youth Enrichment Services will be on site to enjoy a full day of skiing and riding.

TUESDAY, MARCH 17
Green Day Celebration

Don your finest shades of green as you celebrate on the back deck to live Irish Music before the sun sets and the celebrations really begin. Enjoy special food and beverage options and mountain-wide savings throghout the day.

SUNDAY, MARCH 22
Cardboard Box Race

It's simple, just create a 'vehicle' in which at least one person can successfully make it to the bottom of a short downhill course using ONLY cardboard, duct tape, paint and decorations and you could win some really cool prizes. Race starts promptly at 11:00am and awards will be presented on the back deck.

SATURDAY, APRIL 4
5th Annual Up, Down & Around Challenge

Join us for our annual adventure challenge which takes competitors on a run, bike, hike and ski all around the mountain.

SUNDAY, MARCH 29
Pond Skim Party

Pull out your favorite costume, find your widest skis and test your balance as you cascade across our man-made pond to cheers from eager on-lookers, waiting patiently for the next big wipe out! Registrations will take place in the lobby before the event. Rock on with live music from 1-3pm on the back deck! Also featuring a BBQ and Beer Bar!

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 5
Easter Day Celebration

Enjoy a mountain-top Easter Service in the morning, followed by an Easter Breakfast and Easter-egg hunt for the kids.

Wachusett Mountain Hill Climb

Cycling race from Route 140 to the Wachusett Summit via the summit road. Post-race activites held in the Wachusett Mountain Base Lodge.

2nd Annual Country MusicFest

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets as you relax to the music from local and national country performers. Enjoy great food, beer and vendors!

17th Annual MusicFest

Back this year to a 2-day event!! Voted "Best Local Music Festival" at the Worcester Music Awards presnted by Pulse Magazine, MusicFest features 6 bands on 2 stages along with a Mountainside BBQ, our traditional BEER-FEST-OF-ALE, a Classic Car Show presented by the Pike FM, local craft vendors and our Scenic Summit SkyRide.

1st Annual Farm Fresh Festival

Join us for a Celebration of the Massachusetts' Agricultural community! Enjoy a huge farmers' market filled with locally-grown produce, animal products, crafts and much more! Taste samples from local wineries, enjoy cooking demonstrations, take in some bluegrass music and let the kids have fun in our petting zoo! Much more information to follow!

6th Annual Great New England Apple Pie Contest

Join this amateur-only, two division apple pie contest, now in its 6th year and continuing to grow! Entrants receive two complimentary admission tickets to AppleFest and winners receive great prizes, including Hannaford Gift Certificates!

32nd Annual AppleFest

Our most popular fall festival celebration including over 100 craft exhibitors, a farmers' market, kids entertainment and peak fall foliage viewing from the SkyRide. Also enjoy Oktoberfest themed food specialties and German music.
